The awakening of the city

At five o’clock in the morning the city starts to wake up. After some time you can see the sunrise. The streets are starting to heap with people at that time. Many people are going to work on foot, by biclycle, by car or by motorbike. You can see also people walking next to the main roads, children wearing white shirt and tie going to school, and cows walking among the cars and the rickshaws. For a foreigner is a amazing scene.

But for me the most beautiful view at that time is from the roofs. From a high roof you can see the daily spectacle of the terraces and the houses. You can see the people still sleeping out in the open, people waking up, women combing their hair in front a little mirror, people carring the water, lighting fire o preparing tea. I always thought the best spectacles in every country are those that are for free, those that you don’t need a ticket. You just need look at the right place with curiousity and open eyes.
