Look at this advertisement, which I think it’s a clever and witty idea. It’s the “Matrimonials” section in one of week-end Indian papers, where families write messages to search suitors for their sons or daughters. The advertisement says that if you write in your message that religion is not a bar or dowry is not required, then you can get a 15 per cent discount on the price of publication. I’m not sure if discounts can be accumulated but anyway I think it’s a nice and witty symbol of making a fairer world.
