Some fishermen in Kerala use a curious fishing system called “Chinese fishing nets”. They are huge wood structures that hold large nets sunk in the water. So the men lift up the nets with a heavy system of pulleys and counterweights, and they collect the fishes there are in. Not far from there, other men sell the fresh fish just caught, still jumping in the buckets. The starving skinny cats look at the tubs with astonishment.
