Mistakes

It is said that English is one of the easiest languages to learn. Maybe it’s true. The grammar it’s not quite complicated and verbs are pretty easy. In spite of it I make a lot of mistakes when I try to speak English, and the mistakes sometimes can mislead and provoke funny confusions. Here you have three amusing ones.

1. I asked many times in the hotels if there was a clean “sheep” in the bed, instead of “sheet”!

2. When I tried to explain to an acquaintance of mine that I’ve eaten in the traditional style, “on palm leaves”, I told him very seriously that I’ve eaten “on a palm tree”.

3. I mistook the word and I noticed worried my guests that there were lots of “little forks” in the jam instead of “little ants”. The people whom I talk to must to think about me: “poor fool guy!”
