I’ve had the chance of accompany a little group of theatre in a performance. One of the members is the person who is hosting me and sheltering me the last days in his Ayurvedic centre. He and five companions form a modest group which plays some simple performances. Most of the plays in India have a clearly pedagogical purpose. In this case, for example, the performance teachs the audience about the importance of a safe driving: don’t speak on the phone while driving and use helmet while riding a bike. They make to smile children and adults, just with a drum and some disguises.
