Sometimes you can find some sad notices in Indian newspapers such as female babies abandoned by their parents. Daughters are not wanted by some Indian families because their marriage involve a lot of money that, sometimes, parents won't be able to pay. Moreover, when girls get married they leave home because they must live in the parents-in-law house. It means, for example, that daughters won't be able to manage the family business or they won't be able to work in the fields. In some Indian states, clinics are not allowed to reveal the sex of the foetus in order to not have abortions in case of being females. Anyway newspapers notice sadly the abandones a few weeks after they birth.
