Temple at night

I'm really amazed about the Golden Temple. A part from feeding daily about eighty thousand people they offer lodging for free to everybody who need it. More than two thousand people sleep every day in their equipments. There are also some rooms especially for foreigners. You only need to write down your name in a list and you get a bed for a maximum of three nights running.

Yesterday I wanted to experience how is a night at the Temple. Until midnight the movement didn't stop. A lot of people were walking around the Temple, praying, eating, working in the cleaning or in the cooking for the next day. At ten o'clock they did a procession with the holy book which also needs some rest. A part, about fifty priests were reading the holy book all the time, night and day, in fifty rooms or chapels.

Very early in the morning, everything is working again. The believers have their dips in the holy water and hundreds of people are already having breakfast. You know, lentils soup, rice and chapati. What is better to start the day with energy?
